Free Ab Workout Routine + Tips To Obtaining Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

So you're starting to notice the pants are a little tighter, or it's getting harder to see your toes. Whatever the reason is, don't sweat it. It's NORMAL.

I'm not writing this to make you feel guilty and cut all of your bad habits. On the contrary, I want to let you know it's fine, and that there are little things throughout the day you can do to increase your overall health, and in turn, lose weight AND develop your mid section.

The program we designed goes into more detail, but we know tips help, so we'll sum it up for you throughout this article!

So what's the hardest part about working out...finding time? Keeping it interesting? Lack of knowledge?

How do you keep it exciting?

Well, first of all, you need to start by setting easy to achieve realistic goals. We all know why goals are important, but if you don't have goals, you will stray from your original enthusiasm as time goes by.

Part of the excitment comes from reaching your goals, so start safe. The other exciting part starts when you begin to see results. But we'll get more challenging later on.

Also, when you get into a routine, you feel better every time you do your exercises (and they'll get easier and easier)...It's really quite addicting....And in some cases it helps with our everyday aches and pains. (ie: if you have trouble sleeping, exercise will likely help you sleep better.)

Most people are under the impression, to get any type of ab workout, you need to be lying on your back, right? WRONG!

You can contract your abs and do standing crunches (and sideway oblique crunches) any place, and if you combine this with activities you do throughout the day (walking up and down stairs, carrying groceries, while your are the computer) you will actually be able to develop ab muscles anytime.

Ok maybe it isn't as effective as concentrated ab exercises, but it helps big time. It will also compliment the ab exercises you already do (or are going to start!).

We have a start, lets move on!

The 'Big 3' in ab exercise.

Time to start reinforcing what you already know into your brain. If you want to get in shape, you need to do all of these.

Number 1 - DIET

Number 2 - CARDIO

Number 3 - AB SCULPTING

Believe it or not, the order of these is the biggest part when having a beautiful stomach. So for the first step on your routine...Learn to eat better! The pounds will melt off once you start eating right.

The second step: manage cardio at least 3x into your week. Since you will be losing/maintaining weight after you change your diet, you will amplify the process by increasing your heart rat and burning fat off of your tissues! Which will result in seeing your abs quicker.

And the last step which you can alternate with your cardio days is: Ab sculpting. The term should be self-explanatory so lets get on to the exercises!

**Please understand these are my opinions on effective exercises. I've read some great articles and some low quality materials on the internet, and out of everything, I've found these to be best.

Bicycle kick - Lay on your back and alternately touch your elbows to your opposite knee. I'm not going to go into too much details as you all should know what this looks like (If not, email us), but these are extremely effective for your entire stomach, and have been voted the most effective stomach exercise you can do (Whether that sentence is true is fictional, but I HAVE heard that, and I believe it!)

V-Sits - Lay on your back with your hands overstretched above your head, and with your butt on the floor and your upper and lower body relatively straight, you contract your abs and touch your toes so your body looks like a V from the side. In sets of 10-15, these are incredibly effective, but also quite difficult. Do it with bent legs when starting off.

Reverse crunches - These are great for your abs. You lay on your back, and in a nutshell, have your feet/legs up reaching for the ceiling...Your goal is to get your butt/lower back off the ground, then lower it back down. You can have your arms stretch down your sides to give you stability.

These are three of the more effective exercises I recommend, and the great thing about them is they can be done anywhere.

Get creative with your exercises, remember that your muslces love change, so alternate these with other well known ab exercises, and I guarantee once you see the slightest results, you will want to continue down the same path.

Ways to Get Abs for Everyone

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Are you so confused by the many ways to get abs that you haven't even started working out? Too much expert advice getting you down?

Some people say diet is most important, some people say cardio. Some people tell you to do crunches, others say don't. Some people tell you to work out at home, others say you should go to the gym.

Who's right?

The good news is that there really is no one right way to get abs. All of those experts are right.

The bad news is that you have to make the choice. Only you can decide where, when, and how to work out.

Don't worry, though. If you know a little bit about yourself, making a choice that's right for you is simple.

There are really only 2 things you need to do to get stellar abs.

1. Follow a healthy diet 2. Commit to a regular fitness routine

There is a vast variety of ways to go about these 2 tasks, though.

Diet Choices:

A healthy diet should be low in fat, high in fruits and vegetables, and based on whole grains. When you're exercising a lot, you also need a higher protein intake.

Before you decide on the diet plan that works for you, you need to answer 2 quick questions.

* What needs to change in your current diet? * Do you eat out a lot?

Compare your current diet to the recommendations for a healthy diet above. How far off are you?

If, like most people, you see too much fat in your diet, you will need to concentrate on reducing your fat intake. Get rid of the "bad fats" first, such as those in fast-food, potato chips, and other fried junk foods. Then slowly cut out other unnecessary fats. Replace butter with vegetable oil in your cooking.

Do you see a lot of processed carbs in your current meals? These are often found in white bread and pasta. Then cut back on these carbohydrates. Try replacing them with whole grain alternatives.

Do you eat a lot of meat or dairy products? These are a big source of fat and cholesterol. Replace them with low fat alternatives. Consider giving some vegetarian substitutes, such as tofu and soy milk, a try.

You don't have to stop eating out to follow your diet, but you may need to make some changes. Fast food hamburgers and french fries will need to go. But, many restaurants offer low fat meal options. Also, you can request that your food is cooked with vegetable oil rather than butter. Get your sauces and dressings served on the side.

Picking a diet plan that will help you achieve your goals is the most important step. When that's done, everything else will be easier.

The next step is to pick exercises that you will enjoy. Yoga, walking, running, and bicycling are all great cardio workouts. Alternate those with the ab targeting exercises of your choice, and you'll have a fully developed fitness plan tailored just for you.

Even though there are many ways to get abs, the only ones you should worry about are the ones that work for you, because if you aren't happy with your fitness plan, you won't achieve the results you want.

How to Get Killer Abs Made Easy

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

There is no magic secret that will make how to get killer abs easy. There are, however, some very simple steps that you can follow that will lead you to the abs you've always wanted, with less work than you may imagine.

You don't need a complicated fitness plan, a personal trainer, or $1,000 worth of exercise equipment to do it. You just need to remember 3 things.

1. Healthy Diet
2. Core Strengthening
3. Ab Targeting

Healthy Diet:

Body fat percentage is important. If you don't have a low body fat percentage, it doesn't matter how toned your abs are because no one will be able to see them. They'll be hidden by a layer of tummy fat.

All of your muscles are covered by a layer of fat. People whose muscles look toned and cut have a thin layer of fat. If your layer of stomach fat is thick, no one can see the abs you've worked so hard to get.

To sport killer abs, your body fat percentage should be in the high single digits for men and the low teens for women.

By following a healthy, low fat, balanced diet, you will thin out that layer of fat so that you can see your abdominal muscles.

Some healthy, low fat staple foods are:

* beans
* tofu
* lean meats
* whole grains

Avoid fatty junk foods and "empty" calories. They will only make your fitness goals take longer to achieve. Choose snacks that are high in vitamins and energy and low in fat. Fruits, vegetables, protein bars, and shakes are all good choices.

Core Strengthening:

What's the workout secret of models, athletes, and pop stars? Core strengthening.

Core strengthening workouts work whole groups of muscles together, instead of just concentrating on one muscle at a time. This gives you faster, more permanent results and reduces your risk of injury from strengthening one muscle too fast.

Remember, your body works like a machine. That means each part of it works together with the others. So, it's important to work it out that way, as well.

Great full body workouts include:

* Tai Chi
* Yoga
* Kick boxing
* Martial Arts
* Core Strengthening Plans

Ab Targeting:

If you want great abs, the final step in your workout plan should be ab targeting exercises. If you are following your diet and doing some core strengthening activities, you will get a much greater benefit from targeted abdominal exercises.

Perform about 3 ab targeting exercises per workout session. Start with 5-10 repetitions of each exercise and gradually increase the number of repetitions as your fitness level increases. Don't overdo it, though. Only perform abdominal specific exercises every other day.

Some proven ab targeting exercises are:

1. Crunches
2. Sit Ups
3. Bicycles

See? The answer to how to get killer abs isn't that difficult, after all. Diet, core strengthening, and a few crunches will get you those awesome abs in no time.

6 Pack Abs - Make This 1 Mistake and Stay Fat and Flabby

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Having 6 pack abs is a very real thing to attain if you have the right tools to do it.

The problem is that most traditional beliefs about how to get 6 pack abs are not accurate and downright do not work!

This article will show you the biggest mistake that people make to try and get 6 pack abs and how you can avoid it.

So, lets right into how you can get 6 pack abs.

BIGGEST 6 PACK ABS MISTAKE: Trying to doing hundreds of crunches while crash dieting.

This seems to be the common thought on the best way to get 6 pack abs. Unfortunately, this is not the best route to take.

If you try to get 6 pack abs by doing hundreds of crunches and crash dieting, you will likely notice the following things.

1. Doing hundreds of crunches does not sufficiently help to burn calories or raise your metabolism.

Lots of crunches will help to strengthen your midsection, but will not help you to lose fat over your abs. This is contrary to the common thought that to lose fat in a certain area you have to work the muscle underneath it. This is not accurate because your body cannot lose fat in one specific area. When you put on fat, it goes on in the same proportion around your core. Because you cannot gain fat directly over your abs, you cannot lose fat that way either.

SOLUTION: Try doing total body strength training workouts combined with high intensity interval training 2-3 times per week. This type of workout helps to jack up your metabolism by adding lean muscle mass. This will help you lose body fat, and will get you started on the right track to get those 6 pack abs.

2. Crash dieting to get 6 pack abs.

When you take this route to get 6 pack abs, you may lose a lot of weight quickly. The last part of that statement is key. You may lose a lot of weight, but you will not lose a lot of fat.

If you lose weight, you are losing a combination of water weight, muscle mass, and maybe a little bit of fat.

If you lose fat, you are maintaining (even slightly adding) lean muscle mass and losing stored body fat.

By focusing your effort to lose fat to get 6 pack abs, you need to have the right nutrition.

Don't try to eat 1 big meal per day and be hungry the rest of the time. This is a diet that is impossible to maintain in the long term, and will almost assure you will never get 6 pack abs.

SOLUTION: Try eating 4-6 small meals per day that consist of high quality protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. By eating smaller meals every 2-3 hours of healthier foods, you will still consume less overall calories and will not risk being very hungry and binge eating!

Getting 6 pack abs is certainly an attainable goal for anyone willing to put in the time and effort. If you eat right and exercise the according to the guidelines in this article, you should be well on your way to losing body fat and getting sexy 6 pack abs.

How to Get Abs - 3 Stellar Six Pack Secrets

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Everyone nowadays wants to know how to get abs.

The problem is, most people make some major mistakes in the process of trying to figure out how to get abs.

This article will show you what the 3 major mistakes are and how to avoid them.

3 Major Mistakes People Makes When Trying to Figure out How to Get Abs

MISTAKE #1: Doing hundreds of crunches.

When most people try to learn how to get abs, they first thing they think of is doing hundreds of crunches everyday.

The idea behind this is that if you want to get abs, you work the muscle underneath the fat.

The problem with this approach is that it is based upon a false myth known as "spot reduction". This refers to what was just mentioned about losing fat by working the muscle underneath it. Unfortunately, spot reduction is not a great way to get abs. If you want to lose fat, you need to lose overall body fat that is not localized in one specific area.

SOLUTION: Instead of trying to get abs by doing hundreds of crunches, try doing more resistance training. Resistance training is great because it adds lean muscle mass all over your body. This will help you get abs because it will raise your overall metabolism. The higher your metabolism, the more calories your body burns while active and at rest. So, resistance is a great addition in your effort for how to get abs!

MISTAKE #2: Crash dieting.

This is another mistake in the process of figuring out how to get abs. A lot of people who want to lose body fat try to do it by eating as little as possible, hoping that it will result in the loss of body fat.

Crash dieting will make you lose weight in the short term, but will not help you permanently lose fat.

There is a big difference! If you lose weight, that means that you are losing muscle mass, water weight, and maybe a little bit of fat.

If you lose fat, then you are preserving your muscle mass and water weight, and dropping pure body fat.

SOLUTION: Instead of crash dieting to get abs, try eating 4-6 small meals per day of high quality protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. By eating these smaller meals, you help to regulate your blood sugar.

If you eat a big meal, your blood sugar spikes very high. Then, your body releases insulin to stores the excess blood sugar as fat. If you eat these high quality foods and eat them in smaller portions, your blood sugar will stay more level. If you want to know how to get abs through diet, then this is a great tip!

MISTAKE #3: Not concentrating on lowering body fat percentage.

This is another big mistake when trying to learn how to get abs. Most people just focus on crash dieting and doing lots of crunches, thinking it will help them get abs.

If you really want to get abs, you will focus on lowering your overall body fat. For men, it should be less than 10%. For women, less that 14%.

SOLUTION: Combine total body strength training 2-3 times per week, high intensity cardio, and a great diet that follows the guidelines above.

If you really want to figure out how to get abs, then these guidelines will get you there. To get abs, you need to be persistent, be prepared to work hard, and get ready to love the sexy abs that you will soon see in the mirror of you follow through!

Truth About Six Pack Abs - Secrets of a Sexy Stomach

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

A lot of people are looking for the truth about six pack abs.

The question is, where do you turn for quality information?

You could try the latest fad diet, buy prepackaged meals that are sent to your house, crash diet, or try the latest exercise infomercial gimmick that promises to show you the truth about six pack abs.

This article will show the fundamentals on the truth about six pack abs. If you are not doing the right things, you will have a lot of trouble ever getting six pack abs.

If you would ask most people what they thought it the truth about how to get six pack abs, they would probably say "do lots of crunches".

This is only partly true.

Doing lots of crunches is good for building lots of core strength, but it is hardly enough to get you six pack abs.

So this brings us to the most important points about the truth about six pack abs.

1. Lots of crunches is not the best way to go.

It is vital to illustrate this point a little further. Doing lots of ab exercises, taking ab classes, working out to an ab dvd, are all great, but it is not a means to an end.

You do not lots stomach fat by doing lots of crunches. Instead, you lose stomach fat by increasing your overall metabolism and exercising the right way!

Trying to lose fat over your abs relates back to a myth that is known as "spot reduction". This refers to the misconception that you can lose fat over a specific area by working the muscle underneath it.

If this was you, then you would see people walking around with ripped six pack abs and flabby arms, love handles, big butt, etc. If you see someone with great abs, there is a great chance that the rest of their body is in great shape too! They got that way by eating and exercising a certain way, which is the same program that you should follow as well.

2. Nutrition is the cornerstone of abdominal sexiness.

This is a big area that is overlooked when examining the real truth about six pack abs.

If you want to see your abs with solid definition, then you need to have a very low percentage of body fat. This simply does not happen without having the right diet.

You will want to:

Avoid bad "high glycemic" carbs such as junk food, sugary food, soda, fast food, etc.

These bad carbs cause a steep rise in your blood sugar, and your body responds by releasing more insulin to store it as fat.

Eat 4-6 small meals per day.

This is a great way to get six pack abs for a few reasons. By eating more smaller meals, you will feel less hungry throughout the day. This will make you less likely to binge and eat a big meal. Also, this helps to regulate your blood sugar if you are eating good quality protein, healthy fats, and low glycemic carbs.

Create an overall calorie defecit.

This is probably the most important truth about six pack abs. By reducing your overall number of daily calories from what you are currently consuming, you will start to lose body fat.

Remember, losing body fat is the real truth about six pack abs! Having a great diet combined with the right kind of exercise is the way to go. Doing lots of crunches and crash dieting is a sure way to be frustrated.

If you work hard and eat right, you will find the truth about six pack abs comes from making good food choices and exercising.

Good luck =)

Advanced Workouts For Not Only Abs and Core, but Full Body

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

I received a question today from a Sergeant who was looking for high intensity workouts with some work for abs, core, and full body to take his team of 30+ soldiers to a new level of fitness in preparation for their PT testing.

He basically said that the men had reached a plateau in their training and needed something really high intensity to take them to the next level.

My response is below...Keep in mind that this workout I gave him uses bodyweight-only exercises, however, it is VERY intense and for people looking for advanced fitness levels.

With that said, keep in mind that if you're not yet at an advanced level, you can still use this by simply using the basic format of the workout, and just do less of whatever exercises you struggle with, or choose an easier alternate exercise that's similar.

Here goes...

"Hi J****. To get your soldiers to that next level in their workouts, we're going to keep the intensity super high here and use the whole body. Keep rest periods short, and use full-body multijoint movements as much as possible.

I'll give you a killer workout idea below that not only incorporates abs and entire core, but the entire body as well in an intense fashion. Not sure what (if any) equip you have available, so I'll give you a great workout that's bodyweight based. Here's an example to take your men through:

Start with a 2-3 min warmup of light jogging, jumping jacks, or jump rope.

Then, move through these exercises in circuit fashion, one right after the other with only 10 seconds rest between each (repeat the circuit 3-5 times for a killer total body workout):

1. bodyweight squats - 12 reps

2. plyo pushups (clapping) - 10 reps

3. walking lunges up 6 steps and back 6 steps

4. floor mountain climbers for 30 seconds

5. lunge jumps - 6 reps to each side

6. lying leg thrusts (abs) on floor - 12 reps

7. squat jumps - 8 reps

8. side plank hold 30 seconds one side, then 30 sec opposite side

Rest 2 min after each circuit; repeat circuit 3-5x

If that doesn't get them through the plateau and ready for the next PT test, nothing will!

How To Get 6-Pack Flat Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Okay, let's get right to it! Here are some exercises for getting a 6-pack:

Abdominal Exercise:

  • Lie on the floor with your arms across your chest or your hands clasped behind your head.
  • Keep your feet on the floor or raise them.
  • Tighten your abs and slowly curl your shoulders up off the floor one inch.
  • Curl your shoulders up toward your knees until your shoulder blades come up one to two inches off the floor.
  • Hold this position for one to four seconds before slowly returning to the starting position.

Leg Raise:

  • Grasp the back of chair to support your body.
  • Hang your body straight down.
  • Keep your knees slightly bent throughout the entire movement.
  • Raise your legs until they are just past parallel to the floor, lower and repeat. Do not swing your body. NOTE: For those who are unable to perform this exercise with straight legs, try bending your knees and tucking them into the waist at each repetition. Remember to try and point your toes downward. After a few weeks, you will be able to do this exercise with straight legs.
  • Keep the movement fluent, slow, and controlled.

Knee Raise:

  • Lie back on the floor. Keep your legs straight and back flat.
  • Raise your legs, bending at the knees as they raise and slowly lower your legs back down to the straight leg position.
  • Keep the movement fluent, slow, and controlled.

Sit Ups:

  • Lie back on the floor. Hook your feet under a desk or other heavy object to secure your body. Keep your knees slightly bent. You can either place your hands behind your head or crossed in front of your body.
  • Slowly curl your body upwards to your knees and slowly descend back down.
  • Keep the movement fluent, slow, and controlled.
<!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->

You must always remember that if you have excess fat, you can exercise all day long and you will never see that 6-pack under 4 inches of flab. A 6-pack set of abs can only be seen on a body that has a BMI of 16% or less, so be sure to rely on a diet of low calories, low fat foods. Always consult with your health care practitioner when starting any new diet or exercise routine. He/she may want to do a few tests to rule out any underlying health issues.

So in order to get ripped abs, you absolutely must lower your overall body fat,
and do it the right way.

RIPPED ABS TIP #2: Total body strength training and high
intensity cardio to raise metabolism.

To lower your body fat and get ripped abs, you need to raise your metabolism.

You can do this by combining total body strength training with high intensity
cardio. By doing this, you will raise your active and resting metabolism. This will
make your body burn more calories while exercising, and also at rest.

Most people try to get ripped abs by doing hundreds of crunches everday. While
this may help you build a strong core, it will not help to raise your metabolism.

If you want to exercise to get ripped abs, you need to add lean muscle mass that
will raise your metabolism. This will help you to burn lots of body fat and see
those ripped abs start to come through =)

RIPPED ABS TIP #3: Eat the right foods.

If you eat 4-6 small meals per day that consist of high quality protein, complex
carbs, and healthy fats, you are one step closer to having ripped abs.

These foods are great for building muscle and burning fat. By spacing them out
throughout the day, you will help to control your appetite and regulate your blood
sugar.

Regulating your blood sugar is very important in the quest to get ripped abs.
If you a big meal, your blood sugar rises drastically. Then, your body releases
more insulin to store the excess blood sugar as body fat.

Eating smaller meals of better foods helps to prevent this.

Remember, good nutrition is the cornerstone of having ripped abs!

So in conclusion, you can see that great nutrition combined with the right type
of exercise is the ultimate solution to having great abs. When you combine these
principles and lower your body fat percentage, you will see those ripped abs start
to come through!

Toning Your Abs - Common Exercising Myths

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

1. The 'Chew Then Crunch' Myth

Crunches are good exercises for toning the abs and stomach if done properly and combined with a low fat diet. However many people think they can continue to eat what they want and end their day with 100 crunches to "work off" all the bad stuff they put in their body throughout the day.

If you're not lowering your fat intake by watching what you eat, it doesn't matter how many exercises and crunches you perform. Not only will you see zero results, but you may actually see your stomach increase in size!

This is because you're building muscle underneath the existing fat. We all have flat stomachs, it's just that some have layers and layers of fat on top of that muscle we must get rid of first.

You've got to work off that existing fat first by training and toning your abs and stomach area.

I had this problem when I first started exercising. I didn't lower my caloric or fat intake much but I started doing crunches. For three months straight I did my 8-minute ab routine like clockwork. I couldn't understand why I wasn't seeing results. In fact, my stomach started protruding even more.

Well after doing lots of reading I discovered that I was going to also change my diet if I was going to see the results I wanted.

2. The Numbers Myth

Twenty-five good, quality crunches are much better than 250 half-done crunches. Many people just want to get it over with so they lie down and do as many fast crunches as they can while lacking in quality.

The best thing to do is perform 4 sets of 20-25 solid crunches while resting 90 seconds in between each set. That is a much more effective way of training your abs than 250 lackluster crunches in a row.

3. The Spot Toning Myth

This is the one that frustrates me. I have always been very thin and recently started gaining weight in my hips and thigh area. I welcomed the added pounds because it gave me a curvier figure. Unfortunately it also left we with a slightly flabby stomach.

I wanted to keep the hips and thighs but lose the stomach so I started exercising my stomach and abs by doing pilates and crunches.

Well, I didn't see any results. I discovered through reading that you can't just spot tone because if you only focus on one area (ie. your tummy), you won't raise your metabolism enough to burn that extra belly fat. So the key to flattening your stomach area is to increase your body's metabolism so it can effectively get rid of those layers of excess tummy fat.

A total body exercise is the key to slimming your waistline.

4. The Six Pack Myth

Whether you're a man or woman, we'd all love to have that solid six pack to show off when we're at the pool right? Well, what most people don't realize is that solid abs don't start in the gym, they start in the kitchen. If your body contains a lot of fat, your abs won't show no matter how much you exercise.

Your first goal should be to lose that fat, and it starts with your diet. Decrease the amount of fat and calories you consume and increase the amount of protein. Protein is an absolute necessity for ridding fat and building muscle.

5. The Running Myth

Did you know that running does very little when it comes to toning your stomach? This is because it can cause your pelvis to pull forward and arching of your lower back.

Don't get me wrong, running is good for you and can burn a lot of calories, but if you aren't doing any other stomach toning exercises in conjunction with running you'll see little if any results.

Conclusion

Hopefully you've learned that flattening your stomach is not about doing 100 crunches per day. It's about total body fitness and changing your overall diet.
