Is Your Body Really Suited For 6 Pack Abs?

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

The media often decides what "sexy" should look like. This means a chiseled look and 6 pack abs. Getting 6 pack abs is not reasonable for everyone for a variety of reasons. However, that does not mean that a person should not have a body to be proud of. The trick is to see what's within the physical capabilities of each individual and using them advantageously to meet personal goals. Sheryl Crow says it best. "It's not getting what you want. It's wanting what you've got."

There are many reasons why many people can't have a 6 pack. The most important is body type. There are four major body types.

The first is the long and skinny type. These people are often slender and are built more for agility than strength. They do not gain weight easily, and many of them do not have frames to support gigantic muscle mass.

The second is the round type. These people tend to be a little thick. That does not mean that weight loss and gaining muscle is impossible. It just means that the individual is more likely to be stocky.

Then there's the slender type. Like the thick type, these people can gain some muscle; it's not reasonable for these people to expect to be thick, skinny, or muscular. Many people fit into this category.

Finally, there are those that are the muscular type. For these people, gaining muscle is easiest no matter if they're a bit thick or slender.

The trick is to figure out what body type the individual is by finding out how the individual responds to diet and exercise. Another way is to look at the family genetics. Either way, there's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Knowing this information can help someone to create a program that will prove successful.

The first step to finding a successful program that will yield results is to find a program that suits a particular body type. Fortunately, that is not too difficult. Many programs support all fitness levels and body types. The second step is to create a regiment that includes proper diet and exercise. Finding the proper diet also depends on one's body. Some people are sensitive to the affects of carbohydrates while others are more affected by excess calories or protein. Most people do perfectly well by balancing all food groups and controlling calorie intake.

An exercise program that works for most people will include strength training and cardiovascular exercise. The cardiovascular exercise helps to burn fat and calories while strength training strengthens, tones, and defines muscle structure. Workouts specific to the abs should include a variety of exercises that work all muscle groups in that area. If done properly, a program such as this should provide a sleek and sexy build supported by nature.

Here is a serious question to consider when thinking about getting 6 pack abs. Is it better to try to mold oneself to a standard, or is it better to find a program that works with the body? Sexiness does not have to be dictated by anyone else but the person wanting success. Sexiness is a matter of confidence. Confidence is bred through success. Success is made by devising a fitness solution that works with what nature provided.

Best Diet To Get Six Pack Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Everybody wants six pack abs and a gorgeous body. But just like so many other things in life, it takes take time, hard work and persistence to get them. There is no 'secret' to getting six pack abs and I'll bet you already know how to get them. Yes, that's right. Diet and exercise are the only ways to get not only great six pack abs, but a gorgeous body and lifelong health.

Both controlling what you eat and doing exercise are necessary if you want to be successful. This article will be mainly about diet, since of the two, diet is much harder to control. First, though, just a few thoughts on exercise.

The conventional wisdom is that you must do billions of crunches, sit ups and other assorted exercises of your mid section in order to have six pack abs. Nonsense! In order to get rid of the fat you have in your mid section now, you need to exercise all the large major muscle groups. That means you need to do exercises that work your legs, back, shoulders and chest. By working the large muscle groups you will increase your metabolism much faster and thereby getting rid of fat from all over your body, including your face, neck, abs, hips and arms. You will not only loose fat, but your body will also begin to look more proportioned.

Diet is a much harder variable to control, but it is not, by any stretch of the imagination, impossible. What you need to remember though, as a general rule, is that you need to eat natural foods and not processed foods. The problem is though, that we are almost addicted to the taste and convenience of processed foods.

Here are some tips on how to break your taste for processed foods:

1. Cut back slowly on the soda and high calorie drinks.

This is the easiest way to start cutting completely unnecessary calories from your diet. If you drink 3 sodas a day, cut back to two the first week, then cut another one the second week and so on until you slowly ween yourself from them. For each soda you cut, replace it with a glass of water.

2. Start to eliminate the processed foods you eat in the same way you eliminate the soda. You know what I mean. Potato chips, cheese crackers, puddings, candy bars, etc... For each one that you eliminate, replace it with a healthy snack food like apples, pears, peaches, melons or any other fruit. You can (and should) also eat a variety of nuts, which contain healthy fats.

3. Never drink anything with high fructose corn syrup.

4. Reduce your amount of sugar intake. If you load up on sugar in coffee or tea, slowly reduce it until you can drink it with a maximum of one teaspoon.

5. Cut out desserts.

The above suggestions are ways to 'cut out' unhealthy eating habits, but that is only half the battle. The next few tips are changes you should make to add nutritious foods to your diet.

1. Eat more vegetables (I sound like your mother, don't I?)

2. Eat more salads, but slowly cut out all the high fat dressings and get to the place where you actually love Olive Oil and Vinegar (or Lemon Juice) and then use that exclusively.

3. Try to eat organically raised meats. The reason is that these animals weren't given the hormones to produce unnaturally meaty animals. If you can't or there isn't a ready affordable supply, then try to choose lean meats, such as chicken or turkey.

4. Eat healthy proteins such as fish, eggs and black beans.

5. Last, but not least, drink water all day long.

People tell me all the time that they don't like the taste of water. Well, think of all the drinks you have that you had to 'acquire' a taste for...can you say coffee, whiskey, vermouth or any other alcoholic beverage? Eventually you get to the place where you love it. It's the same with water. Add lemon or lime to it. The point is, your body needs water even if you don't realize it.

The main principle here is to eat a healthy balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, providing the fats are healthy fats (i.e. olive oil, avocados, coconut milk, etc...), the proteins are lean, and the carbohydrates are vegetables, fruits or whole grains. Please do not get enamored with a diet that tells you to eat only grapefruit or cut out all carbs or any other gimmick.

If you follow these general guidelines and learn how to exercise right, you simply cannot help but develop the kind of body and abs that you've always wanted. I'm sure you've heard the expression 'Slow and steady wins the race'. It's true.

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

The Mindset

What has the mind got to do with losing weight?

Psychology has a lot to do with loosing weight. You can have all the information of how to lose weight, but if your mentality is not right, then it becomes futile.

The right mindset will give you motivation, dedication, perseverance and help you to avoid temptation and distractions. You will stay focused and achieve your goals. Self belief is an important element in the whole process. You must believe that you can lose weight and get a flat tummy and sexy six pack abs. It is all in the mind. Think positive.

The moment you conquer the mental aspect in your weight loss endeavour, only then you can achieve anything you put your mind on. It is easier said than done. Discipline is another important factor that that will determine if you’re going to be successful or not.

The mind

The mind is like a processor in a computer. It controls your thoughts and actions and influences your behaviour. As we enter different phases of our lives we develop along the way, habits and different mannerisms that control our lives. Over time your subconscious controls various actions which you might be unaware of. People that struggle to lose weight might have habits that hinder their weight loss. These stumbling blocks can be removed if you can develop a strong mentality. People with strong minds can take control of their subconscious and change bad habits or formed associations. The mind is a very powerful tool if utilized correctly. There is quote that goes like this: “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”.

Re-program the mind

As with most things in life … there are no quick fixes. Will power can make a huge difference in your pursuit of weight loss. Think positively. Focus on the good things in life, things that make you happy, things that you enjoy doing.

Set realistic goals. Write it down. Speak it. Associate yourself with positive people. It can and will rub of on you. Encourage and motivate yourself.

Summer Ready Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

I have people come up to me all the time in the gym asking for fitness advice or tips. One of the most common questions is "What do I need to do to get a six pack?". I usually then reply by saying all you need to do is some cardio and probably change up your diet. Then they respond by saying "I do all those ab workouts why don't I see a difference?" then I proceed to explain why they do not notice a change in their appearance.

No matter how many ab blasters or ab crunches you do, you will never see your abs unless you eliminate the abdominal fat covering them. Ab workouts are crucial to do, as a matter of fact I do them every day. Doing these abdominal workouts, strengthen and largen the abdominal muscles. Which is great if you have a low body fat percentage.

Now there are two things you must do to reduce body fat percentage. Cardio is the first part I am going to discuss. Doing cardio burns calories which leads to a lower body fat percentage. Take about 20 minutes at the end of your workout and dedicate it to cardio. You will notice some changes in your appearance if you consistantly do cardio.

Okay so that was the first part, the second half has to do with diet. If you eat right people will see that you eat right. Get on a diet that limits you to a certain amount of calories per day.

So do some cardio, stick with a good diet, and throw in some ab workouts and you will be ready for the summer!

The Most Common Myths about Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Myth 1

Abdominal muscle is different from regular muscle.

Your abdominal muscles are just like every other muscle in your body. The abdominal is different only in location and unlike biceps or quads they don’t rest on a bony surface. So you should train them the same way you would train, say, your biceps or your chest. The basic laws of physiology apply to all your muscles, including your abs. This means that you have to do exercises in the correct plane of movement to effectively work the muscle.

Myth 2

You have to train your abs everyday.

The rules of weight training state that you should give your muscles at least, a day of rest to recover and this applies to your abs as well. Instead of working your back everyday, do them every other day or even just three times a week. They need a break just like the rest of your body. The trick is to train them hard.

Myth 3

Doing ab exercises gets rid of abdominal fat.

There is no such thing as spot reduction. People assume that if you have fat deposits on your abdominal, exercising the muscles underlying the fat will make it go away. But they assume wrong. You can’t get rid of the fat over a muscle by repeatedly exercising that body part. The only way to burn fat from your tummy is through prolonged exercise and a healthy, low calorie diet.

Myth 4

High repetitions are required to make gains.

As you’ve read earlier, abs are just like every other muscle in your body. That means, you should train your abs the same way as the rest of your muscle groups. To make strength gains with your abs, you have to overload your muscles.

Myth 5

Anyone can have a flat stomach.

For many people it’s not physiologically possible to achieve a flat stomach. In most of us the abdominal muscles are designed to be somewhat rounded, not flat. Age, genetics, gender all these factors decide the size, shape and appearance of you belly.

Myth 6

If you have a bad back, training the abs will worsen it.

Training your abs will strengthen you back. The opposing muscles in you body always assist each other. So if you have weak ab muscles, the load of the work falls on the back. So strengthen the abs and your back will become stronger as well.

Don’t waste time by falling victim to six main ab myths. Train intelligently in accordance with scientifically based training techniques and get super abs.

Does Spot Reduction Work for Abs or Doesn’t?

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Burning fat from the abdomen through exercises specially destined to the abdominal muscles was, is and will always be one of the most resistant myths.

Almost all the people with a big belly take up, with a lot of determination, sit-ups, crunches, side-bends, twists, etc., hoping that every new series or set of exercises, every session of repeating them, will help them get rid of the 'ring' of adipose tissue around their waist, also called 'the ring of death'.

Besides the fact that it is probably the most anesthetic 'deposit' of adipose tissue, abdominal fat involves many risks for the health of the person which possesses it (related to diabetes, high blood pressure, cardio-vascular diseases, cancer, impotence, etc.).

We must keep in mind, once and for all, that when we refer to the melting of the subcutaneous adipose tissue, there is no spot reduction. No matter how much we strive to locate effort in the areas we are focused on, we will only fortify the muscles under the fat, but the reduction of the fat itself will be insignificant. The explanation is simple and is connected to the energetic support of the anaerobic effort, which uses, for the exercises, muscular and hepatic glycogen, and not fat acids from the adipose tissue. For getting to the deposits of fat, what we need is cardio training (running, biking, fast walking, swimming, etc.).This type of exercises must be maintained for a long time (45-60 minutes) and they must be intense (60-70% from the maximum of heart rhythm).

An alternative is cardio training with periods when intensity varies, although the total volume is not smaller than in the case of uniformly cardio training.

A very important role in burning fat is held by the diet. It is said that the most effective of training can be sabotaged in the kitchen.

The nutritionists say that a diet which maintains caloric deficit, but keeps a balanced proportion of the basic principles (proteins, lipids, blood sugar), with a slight increase of the protein part, will always have as a consequence losing weight. Physical exercises like sit-ups, crunches, etc., without other exercises meant to involve bigger groups of muscles (thighs, chest, back) and to fortify the abdominal muscles, do not increase very much the basic metabolic rate.

As a consequence, indirect burning of calories (during breaks, post-training) is very small in comparison with the burning due to aerobic effort (especially the ones with alternative periods) – in their case, during effort taking more than 20 minutes, the energetic support is exactly the adipose tissue.

The magic formula for burning abdominal fat is a combination of hypo caloric diet and exercise – especially aerobic, but also anaerobic (focused on all the body, not only the abdominal muscles).

An Exercise To Create Those Sexy Six Pack Abs

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

>>  Be Sure That You Will Never Get Six Pack Abs Unless You Know These Strategies <<

Would you like to have abs that make your friends jealous and are a serious attraction to the opposite sex? I have a great exercise for you. It's called the "Cross T Ball Exchange." The only equipment we need is an inflatable exercise ball.

First, let me remind you that big determinants to how your abdominals look are your nutrition and your well-rounded exercise routine. You have to have both of those in place to get visible results from ANY ab exercise. Despite television ads to the contrary, it's impossible to "spot reduce" fat from a particular body part. If you have a "beer belly" or this is the only exercising you do, we will make your abs stronger and more toned but a layer of body fat will cover up your six-pack treasure. The bottom-line is to make sure you are doing your part with a good nutrition program and a solid exercise plan.

Start the "Cross T Ball Exchange" by lying on the ground face up. With your legs straight or slightly bent, bring your feet six inches off the ground. Hold the ball at arms' length directly over your upper torso. Touch the ball to the ground to your left at about waist level, keeping your torso on the ground and your legs elevated throughout the exercise. Now touch the ball to the ground at waist level to your right. While extending your arms, touch the ball to the ground over your head. Now move your legs and arms toward each other so you can exchange the ball from your hands to your legs, placing the ball right between your ankles. The straighter your legs are during the exercise, the more difficult it will be. Lower your legs until the ball touches the ground and then bring your legs back up to your hands to take the ball and start again. That is one repetition.

This is not an exercise for anyone with lower back problems. It is for people who are already in good shape and are looking for a way to spice up their ab routine. It is a regular part of many of my clients' routines, typically for three sets of 12 to 15 reps. The exercise uses your entire core area; making it a good ab exercise for someone wants to work the entire muscle complex but has limited time.

If the exercise seems too difficult at first try having your feet higher than six inches off the ground and/or bend your knees significantly. Don't get discouraged if you can only do a few reps at first. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither are great abs. Just add a repetition or two as you become accustomed to the exercise. The "Cross T Ball Exchange" will help take your abs to the next level!
