How to Develop Sexy Six Pack Abs

If you've ever wanted to have a set of six pack abs, then this will be the most important article you'll ever read.

Developing your abdominal muscles takes work and determination but the funny thing is, once you've got them, they're pretty much there to stay.

The trick to getting started is to be committed for 90 days. Once you've gone past the first three months the rest is a breeze!

Plus, once you have developed and toned those muscles once, you hardly have to do any work at all to maintain them.

As far as what exercises you need to do, you'll want to pick 7 highly effective exercises (like the ab bicycle and the reverse crunch.) Perform between 10 and 25 repetitions for each set or exercises. Repeat those 7 exercises three times for a total of 21 sets in all.

Once you've done that workout, wait at least a full day before doing it again. You need to give your abdominal muscles some time to rest and repair themselves to develop and grow.

Now surprisingly enough, you can fully work your abs in about 15 minutes a day. So developing a great set of abs doesn't really have to be all that time consuming.

The real secret to developing a stunning set of six pack abs is not only about abdominal exercises, it has much more to do with what you do outside of your abdominal exercise routine.

This may not be surprising to you, but you need to reduce your body fat percentage if you want to see those ripples. But don't worry, burning fat can be extremely simple if you take the right steps.

The other part of the formula is to take up cardiovascular exercises (like riding a bike, swimming, jogging or even skipping rope) for about half an hour at a time to increase your metabolism and to process food faster in your body. Once you can digest your food quicker, it's easier for your body to begin using stored fat as energy.

The other thing that's also extremely important is what you put into your body to fuel it. Having healthy eating habits that fuel your body with the right type of nutrients will make a huge difference in your fat burning efforts.

I highly recommend seeing a nutritionist or a dietitian for their recommendations.

Once you've got the fat out of the way and have effectively learned how to keep it off, your abs will show through and you'll have that washboard look in no time.

Unfortunately, doing abdominal exercises alone doesn't help much to burn fat, but combining an ab workout with a cardio routine and a healthy eating plan will definitely lead to a strong sexy set of six pack abs that'll make anyone drool.

Abs That Grab Attention

Everyone has seen the commercials on television promoting ab machines, the abs blaster, and many people have bought them… because I see them at garage sales every year. I know that they work, but consistency is very important and most people don’t follow through. Also, if you are not doing cardio exercises than you will never have six pack abs. If your stomach also has a lot of fat on top, or a six pack with a cooler full of ice, no one will ever be able to see your abs.

If you put these two ingredients together: Cardio exercise (fat burning exercises), and the consistency of ab exercises you will achieve great health and wellness, as well as being able to admire your six pack abs. I want to teach you a great ab exercise that you can do sitting on a chair, and the great part is that you do not need to buy any special equipment, and can be done easily while traveling.

This exercise can be done while sitting on a chair or on the floor. I prefer sitting on a chair. Sit on the chair with your legs out straight in front of you. Lean back slightly and support your body using your abdominal strength to lift your legs. Place your hands behind you on the chair, palms down.

Bend both your legs simultaneously and bring your knees as close to your chest as possible. Then return to the starting position by slowly straightening out your legs. Keeping the tension on the abdominal muscles, do not let your feet touch the floor during the exercise. Repeat, doing 3 stets of 15 repetitions

This is a great exercise to help build your core muscles, while also working the frontal abdominals, especially the lower half of the ab muscles. So remember to do this exercise three to four times a week for those fabulous abs that grab everyone’s attention.

Pilates is Great for your Abs

If normal ab exercises aren’t really doing it for you, then there is an alternative that’s very much in fashion at the moment. You’ve no doubt heard the name, even if you’re not really sure what it is. It’s Pilates.

Pilates was invented by Joseph Pilates when he was imprisoned on the Isle of Man during World War I. While he was there, there was a flu epidemic, and Pilates came up with an exercise system to help flu victims get back to health more quickly. After the war, he moved to America and started training boxers in these new exercises, attracting widespread interest.

The key to Pilates is that instead of doing simple, repetitive exercises over and over again, it encourages you to learn more complicated, exact exercises, which you then do only a few times. The idea is to use your own body as a weight to lift. Once you master Pilates, you can exercise quickly, precisely, and effectively.

Many people are into Pilates for the same reason they like Yoga: the relief it can give for back pain. We’re interested in Pilates, though, because of the effect it can have on your abs. It is designed to strengthen your abdominal muscles, together with your back and your behind, as all these muscles being able to move freely gives you the feeling of real physical fitness.

However, one word of warning is that while Pilates will get your abs fit, it won’t necessarily make them look muscular – toned, yes, but not ripped. This is because Pilates isn’t about lifting really heavy weights and building large amounts of muscle mass – it’s more simply about physical wellbeing.

If you want to learn more about Pilates, you could just go along to a class – although, unfortunately, many classes that advertise themselves as Pilates use few of the original methods. If you can’t find a good instructor in your area, consider teaching yourself from a book instead, as there is nothing about it that you can’t teach yourself, at least with a little effort.

The Abs... More Important Than You Think

Daily 1000s Of Peoples Are Getting 6 Pack Abs From This Method

What comes to your mind when I say the word “abs”? Do you think of the infomercials advertising “6 second abs” or the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue? Most people focus on training their abs to look thinner or sexier. But, do you realize the importance of your abs in everyday activities? Most yoga instructors do. And that’s why one of the focuses of yoga is to build your core abdominal strength.

Important for posture

Your abs attach to your spine and pelvis, helping balance your back in good posture. Often times, when your back is not supported in the correct posture by your abdominals and back muscles, back pain occurs. Did you know that back pain accounts for approximately 50 billion dollars in health care costs each year. This is not something to be taken lightly -- so remember -- one of the best ways to prevent back pain is to strengthen your abs.

It often takes a conscious effort to sit in good posture. But, even if you get into a good sitting posture, you will need the abdominal and back endurance to maintain it! How are you sitting at your computer right now? I would bet most of you are sitting in a slumped posture….some more than others. To sit in good posture, you should have a slight inward curve in your back with your ears directly over your shoulders.

One way to strengthen your abs while working on your computer is to use an exercise ball as your chair. Yes, you heard me right! In fact, I am sitting on my exercise ball as I write this article.

Important for balance

Without abdominal strength, you will have difficulty sitting, standing and walking. Your center of gravity is located at your sacrum or roughly just below your belly button. Therefore, your abs play an important part in keeping you balanced at your center of gravity.

Think about someone who is a quadriplegic or paralyzed from the neck down. They are not able to sit by themselves because their back and abdominal muscles are paralyzed. In other words, they are no longer able to balance themselves. In contrast, a paraplegic, someone paralyzed from the waist down, is able to balance and sit by themselves because only their legs are paralyzed leaving their abdominal and back muscles intact. This proves that our abdominals are important for our balance.

If you are now sitting on your exercise ball, you can practice some balance exercises and strengthen your abs simply by rolling your hips forward, backward and side to side. Make sure to pull your stomach inward during these motions.

Exercise your abs

Now that you know the importance of your abs, you need to integrate abdominal strengthening into your regular strength training. Abs should be trained like any other muscle – 8 to 12 repetitions, 3 times per week.

I have several suggestions for where you can start.

2. Lower Abdominal Exercises: http://www.abs-exercise-advice.com/lower-abdominal-exercises.html

Remember the abs! They are more important that you think!
